About The Event
‘Not All Plane Sailing’, written and performed by the four young female actors that make up GASP! Theatre Company, is a series of individual sketch sequences following the journey of Pork Air’s first flight. This highly entertaining piece of satirical theatre uses cross-gender casting and multi-rolling.
Norma, Aoife, Gigi and Joyce are the eccentric air hostesses aboard the new Concorde 9745. Join them as they strive to provide their bizarre passengers with the best customer service Concorde has ever seen! With loud, brash pilots, a near-crash experience and a fatal nut allergy, what could possibly go wrong?
‘Not All Plane Sailing’ made its debut in Kent in 2017. It will be making an appearance at the International Youth Arts Festival, Kingston, and Faversham Fringe Festival, Kent, this summer (2018).
GASP! aims to create comedic performances that are farcical, daring, and intelligently silly. Their aim is to exhibit thought provoking messages that express empowerment through mockery from the female perspective.
By combining written and devised work, GASP! Joins together heightened characters and powerful socio-political messages in performance. With heels, handcuffs and fake moustaches, the focus is on exploring everyday situations in quick witted, risqué performances, promising a good night out.
‘Seamlessly combining satirical commentary and smart gags, the face-achingly funny Not All Plane Sailing is a laugh out loud romp which never slows down!’ http://www.talkstageytome.co.uk/2018/02/review-not-all-plane-sailing-courtyard.html
